Wow. I really love this movie! I saw it for the first time the day it came out on DVD. I then watched it again with the audio commentary the next week, and I want to watch it again soon!

I had not read the books before watching the movie. I didn’t even really know that much about it, I just wanted to get it since I thought it looked good, and it was so popular!

When I started watching it, for about the first 30 minutes, I thought it was very slow, and very stiff. The actors didn’t seem like they were acting, almost just like they were just saying the lines without knowing what the words really meant. But after the first 30 minutes, it got better!

After Bella and Edward meet, which was very awkward by the way, the movie picks up speed, and starts getting better! Bella doesn’t understand why Edward doesn’t want to have anything to do with her, or why he is so rude to her. After he saves her life, twice, he starts being a little more nice to her, but when she asks why his eyes color changes, he leaves rather abruptly!

Bella starts to wonder who, or what Edward really is, after her friend, Jacob, tells her the legend of the Cullen family. After she spends awhile on Google, she starts to realize that Edward is a vampire!

Edward admits to being a vampire and Bella, knowing that he might just decide to kill her at any minute, doesn’t really seem to care. She knows in her heart that he could never hurt her. Edward isn’t your normal vampire. And neither is his family, the Cullens. They don’t drink human blood, only those of animals. So in a way they are ‘vegetarians’. Bella feels safe with him, and they start to fall in love.

After awhile, Bella meets up with the three ‘bad’ vampires. They think that Bella would make a nice dinner, so soon Edward and Bella are on the run. I won’t give away any spoilers, but their is a pretty good scene where Bella is about to die, and Edward has to save her, by drinking some of her blood. He doesn’t know if he can do it though, without killing her. I’ll just say, that Bella does live.

I love the prom scene at the end of the movie! I thought it was really good! I won’t say to much about it though, or it will give away the movie!

This is a pretty short review of Twilight, but I didn’t want to give away to much for those of you that haven’t seen it! I will say that this is the best movie I’ve seen in quite awhile! I have now read the book, and am quite that fan! I am now buying the shirts, posters, etc! I just can’t get enough of Twilight!

I thought the actors, especially Kristine Stewart (Bella) and Robert Patterison (Edward) where amazing in this movie!  I also thought they did a very good job bringing the book to life. I also thought that they did a pretty good job of keeping the movie the same as the book.

I can’t wait to see New Moon which will be coming out in November! I hope it will be as good as Twilight! I

I give this movie a 9/10!

They are having a remake of the 1951 movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still! It’s coming out 12-12-08! It’s going to starKeanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, John Cleese, Kathy Bates, Jaden Smith, Aaron Douglas, and J.C. MacKenzie.
Here are 2 new posters for it!

This movie stars Barbara Stanwyck, Barry Sullivan, and Ralph Meeker. Stanwyck and Sullivan play a married couple who go on a vacation to Mexico. They go to a deserted beach to camp there. While at the beach, a pier falls and traps him in the water. Stanwyck must run for help before the tide comes in. On her way for help, she meets a escaped con. This was a pretty good movie, pretty short though (only a little over a hour), but still a good movie. I give it a B.

This movie stars Lana Turner, Constance Bennett (in her last film role), John Forsythe, and Keir Dullea. Turner plays a lady who becomes involved in blackmail, murder, and a life of lies. This was a VERY good movie! And Lana Turner was GREAT in this role!! I give it a A!

This movie, directed by William Castle, stars Charles Herbert, Jo Morrow, and Rosemary DeCamp. This movie is about a family who inherits a house, and the 13 ghosts that live there! This was a pretty good movie, not one of my favorite Castle movies though. I give it a B-.

She starts to think that he’s really a psychotic who’s planning on murdering her. Mitchum plays his brother, who Taylor refuses to talk about. This was a really good movie. I’m not a huge Robert Taylor fan, but he did a really good job in this movie. And Hepburn and Mitchum were really good in this movie too! I give this movie a A-.

This film noir movie stars Alice Faye, Dana Andrews, and Linda Darnell. Faye plays a simple girl who lives in the county with her sister. Then one day Andrews, a con man, comes to town. He seems to be falling in love with Faye, but her sister thinks that he’s only after their family fortue. I give this movie A-!

Fallen Angel poster

This movie stars Cathy O’Donnell, Farley Granger and Howard Da Silva. Granger plays a guy who every one thinks is the head of a big  gang, but he really is just the driver. Granger and O’Donnell decide to run away, but they are really running from the law. I LOVED this movie! I give it a A++!

farley granger

This movie stars Susan Foster and Boris Karloff. Karloff plays a mad doctor is is insane with jealousy over a young opera singer (Foster). His love for her may drive him to murder! This was a great movie! This was meant to be a sequel to The Phantom Of the Opera, but they weren’t able to make it, so they changed the plot, but still kept Susan Foster in it (she was Christine in The Phantom of the Opera). I give this movie a A++!!

Boris Karloff

This movie stars John Garfield (in his last movie) and Shelly Winters. After Nick (Garfield) and his friend Al stage a payroll holdup, Garfield has to try to find somewhere to hid. This was a GREAT movie! It isn’t out on video or dvd, but they do play it on TCM. I really liked it! I give it a A!

This movie has a GREAT all-star cast! (Which was just recently realised on DVD!) With Ginger Rogers, Van Heflin, GeneTierney, George Raft, and Peggy Ann Gagner! Garner plays an aspiring writer wanting to make it big in New York. After she meets Heflin, he tries to help her out by letting her use his apartment to work in during the day while he’s at work. Later he finds her dead in his apartment. Was she killed? Who did it and why? This was a GREAT movie! Ginger Rogers was REALLY good in it!! I give it a A!

Ginger Rogers George RaftGene Tierney - Color

This movie stars Frank Sinatra, Sterling Hayden, James Gleason, and Nancy Gates. Sinatra plays a guy who is planning to kill the President when he passes though a small town. This is a different movie than most ones that Frank Sinatra is in. It’s really good though! I give it a B.

This movie stars Barbara Stanywick and Burt Lancaster. Leona Stevenson (Stanywick) is a lady who is confined to her bed because of illness. This movie stars James Lydon, Sally Eilers, and Warren William. Lydon plays a boy who has a terrible nightmare about his dads death, or was in murder? In his dream, he dreams that another man comes into his moms’ life, but that he’s up to no good. Bit by bit, his nightmare comes to life! This was a low-budget film noir movie. I didn’t care for the actors to much, but it was a pretty good movie. I give it a A-!

This film-noir movie stars Anne Baxter, Ralph Bellamy, Aline MacMahon, Ruth Warrick, Scott McKay, Jerome Cowan, Margaret Hamilton, and Percy Kilbride. Baxter plays the ‘guest in the house’ who is emotionally disturbed. She turns the whole household upside down, and makes everyone feel as if they were in a terrible nightmare. This was a pretty good movie, it’s hard to find, so the video I got was in pretty bad shape, but it was worth it to watch it. Ann Baxter, probably most famous in the role of Eve in “All About  Eve” was very good. Her role in both movies where rather alike in some ways! I give this movie a B.

This movies stars Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, and Hugh Marlowe. When a spaceship lands in Washington D.C, it causes quite a stir! The alien refuses to reveal his mission to any one government! What will they do? I really like this movie!! I give it a A!
