Wow. I really love this movie! I saw it for the first time the day it came out on DVD. I then watched it again with the audio commentary the next week, and I want to watch it again soon!

I had not read the books before watching the movie. I didn’t even really know that much about it, I just wanted to get it since I thought it looked good, and it was so popular!

When I started watching it, for about the first 30 minutes, I thought it was very slow, and very stiff. The actors didn’t seem like they were acting, almost just like they were just saying the lines without knowing what the words really meant. But after the first 30 minutes, it got better!

After Bella and Edward meet, which was very awkward by the way, the movie picks up speed, and starts getting better! Bella doesn’t understand why Edward doesn’t want to have anything to do with her, or why he is so rude to her. After he saves her life, twice, he starts being a little more nice to her, but when she asks why his eyes color changes, he leaves rather abruptly!

Bella starts to wonder who, or what Edward really is, after her friend, Jacob, tells her the legend of the Cullen family. After she spends awhile on Google, she starts to realize that Edward is a vampire!

Edward admits to being a vampire and Bella, knowing that he might just decide to kill her at any minute, doesn’t really seem to care. She knows in her heart that he could never hurt her. Edward isn’t your normal vampire. And neither is his family, the Cullens. They don’t drink human blood, only those of animals. So in a way they are ‘vegetarians’. Bella feels safe with him, and they start to fall in love.

After awhile, Bella meets up with the three ‘bad’ vampires. They think that Bella would make a nice dinner, so soon Edward and Bella are on the run. I won’t give away any spoilers, but their is a pretty good scene where Bella is about to die, and Edward has to save her, by drinking some of her blood. He doesn’t know if he can do it though, without killing her. I’ll just say, that Bella does live.

I love the prom scene at the end of the movie! I thought it was really good! I won’t say to much about it though, or it will give away the movie!

This is a pretty short review of Twilight, but I didn’t want to give away to much for those of you that haven’t seen it! I will say that this is the best movie I’ve seen in quite awhile! I have now read the book, and am quite that fan! I am now buying the shirts, posters, etc! I just can’t get enough of Twilight!

I thought the actors, especially Kristine Stewart (Bella) and Robert Patterison (Edward) where amazing in this movie!  I also thought they did a very good job bringing the book to life. I also thought that they did a pretty good job of keeping the movie the same as the book.

I can’t wait to see New Moon which will be coming out in November! I hope it will be as good as Twilight! I

I give this movie a 9/10!

They are having a remake of the 1951 movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still! It’s coming out 12-12-08! It’s going to starKeanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, John Cleese, Kathy Bates, Jaden Smith, Aaron Douglas, and J.C. MacKenzie.
Here are 2 new posters for it!

This movie, directed by William Castle, stars Charles Herbert, Jo Morrow, and Rosemary DeCamp. This movie is about a family who inherits a house, and the 13 ghosts that live there! This was a pretty good movie, not one of my favorite Castle movies though. I give it a B-.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please do not panic! But SCREAM! Scream for your lives!”

This horror movie stars Vincent Price and Judith Evelyn. It was directed by William Castle. Price plays a scientist who is studying the effects of fear. He later finds out that their is a creature in peoples back that attacks them when they get scared, and the only way to save yourself, is to SCREAM!!! This was a very good movie! I give it a A-!

This movie stars Susan Foster and Boris Karloff. Karloff plays a mad doctor is is insane with jealousy over a young opera singer (Foster). His love for her may drive him to murder! This was a great movie! This was meant to be a sequel to The Phantom Of the Opera, but they weren’t able to make it, so they changed the plot, but still kept Susan Foster in it (she was Christine in The Phantom of the Opera). I give this movie a A++!!

Boris Karloff

This movie stars Olivia de Havilland with Mark Stevens, Leo Genn, and Celeste Holm. Virginia Cunningham (de Havilland) is a girl who is married, has a nice home, and is a talented writer. But something is wrong. She starts being confused and even violent. She is confined in a mental instutution. She has to go through many hard things there. This is a very good movie, and de Havilland did a great job in it! I give it a A-!

Olivia De Havilland

This horror movie stars Bette Davis, Olivia de Havilland, Joseph Cotten and Mary Astor, with Agnes Moorehead. Davis plays a older lady who has lived in her mansion since the terrible murder of her boyfriend. Havilland, her sister, comes to try to help her out. Just what happened with the murder and why did Davis’s sister come back after so many years? This is a very good movie, quite different than anything de Havilland ever did! I give this movie a A-!

hush hush sweet charlotteHush Hush Sweet Charlotte

This movie stars Will Smith, the last man on earth. He is immune to the virus that has turned everyone else into vampires! He has to survive, while trying to find a cure for everyone. Is he the last man on earth, and will he survive? This movie was REALLY good, but very sad!! I give it a A!!

This Alfred Hitchock movie stars James Stewart and Doris Day. Stewart and Day play a married couple, who go, with their son, to Morocco. Their they meet a French spy who dies in the arms of Stewart. After that happends, their son is kidnapped and taken to Europe. This movie is really great, and different than most of the movies that Doris Day is in. She did a GREAT job! I really loved this movie! I give it a A!

“Don’t get it wet. Keep it aways from bright light. And no matter how much it cries or begs, NEVER EVER feed it after midnight!”

These are the 3 rules for keeping Gizmo, a mogwai. But as you can probably guess, he gets wet. I can’t really say what happens if he gets wet, because it will give away the movie, so you’ll just have to watch it and see!! I love this movie! I give it a A+!!

This version stars Lon Chaney Jr, the son of the great silent screen actor, Lon Chaney. Chaney Jr. plays a guy who gets bit by a wolf, and when ever their is a full moon, he turns into one! This is my favorite version. It also has a great supporting cast with such actors as Claude Rains, Bela Lugosi, and more! I give this movie a A-!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This classic horror movie stars Vincent Price, Patricia Owens, Al “David” Hedison, and Herbert Marshall.  A inventor finds a way to transmit people anywhere, but during one of his tests, a fly gets in and he turns into a half-fly half-man. I give this movie an A!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This sci-fi/horror movie stars James Whitmore, James Arness, and Edmund Gwenn. A patrolman finds a trailer and a store that has been blown into, and the weird thing about it is that all the sugar is missing. They later find that their are now giant ants that mutated from the atomic bomb. They have to find and kill the queen ant before she lays any more eggs, or the world will soon be over-run by these monsters! This movie got a Academy Award nomination for special effects. I give it an B-.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This is the  remake of the 1933 version, stars Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Adrien Body, Colin Hanks, and Jamie Bell.  I thought it was way to long(3 hours and 8 minutes!) I think there was a lot of stuff that could have been cut out, because it started to drag at time! They did a good job with king kong special effects. I hated the ‘zombie’ people. I think it was just way to much! I give this movie a B-!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketThis movie stars Claude Rains as the phantom, Nelson Eddy as Roul, and Susanna Foster as Christine. It’s based on the book by Gaston Leroux. This is my favorite Phantom movie, and I think Claude Rains is the best Phantom! Susanna Foster plays a GREAT Christine, she has a wonderful voice and can even sing the G above the high C!!!  I give this movie an A+++!!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket This movie based on the book by Frank Peretti, is really good! It was much better than the book! It stars David Keith and Mel Harris. Two parents with teenage twins are also an undercover investigator family! They go to Rogers High School to find that some of the students are mysteriously getting sick after they find a hangman symbol in their locker. This was much better than the book, which is a series of 2 books. I give it an A++!
