I Started a New Blog!
HI! I started another movie blog! This one is all about actors and actress bios, and old movie posters! I really hope you’ll check it out! http://filmnoirnmore.wordpress.com/
Suddenly
This movie stars Frank Sinatra, Sterling Hayden, James Gleason, and Nancy Gates. Sinatra plays a guy who is planning to kill the President when he passes though a small town. This is a different movie than most ones that Frank Sinatra is in. It’s really good though! I give it a B.

Sorry Wrong Number
This movie stars Barbara Stanywick and Burt Lancaster. Leona Stevenson (Stanywick) is a lady who is confined to her bed because of illness. One night, while her husband is out, she overhears a phone conservation of two men who are planning a murder that same night. Who are they going to kill and what can she do about it? This is one of my favorite Stanywick movies! I give it a A++!!

Laura

Strange Illusion
This movie stars James Lydon, Sally Eilers, and Warren William. Lydon plays a boy who has a terrible nightmare about his dads death, or was in murder? In his dream, he dreams that another man comes into his moms’ life, but that he’s up to no good. Bit by bit, his nightmare comes to life! This was a low-budget film noir movie. I didn’t care for the actors to much, but it was a pretty good movie. I give it a A-!

Guest in the House
This film-noir movie stars Anne Baxter, Ralph Bellamy, Aline MacMahon, Ruth Warrick, Scott McKay, Jerome Cowan, Margaret Hamilton, and Percy Kilbride. Baxter plays the ‘guest in the house’ who is emotionally disturbed. She turns the whole household upside down, and makes everyone feel as if they were in a terrible nightmare. This was a pretty good movie, it’s hard to find, so the video I got was in pretty bad shape, but it was worth it to watch it. Ann Baxter, probably most famous in the role of Eve in “All About Eve” was very good. Her role in both movies where rather alike in some ways! I give this movie a B.

That Girl
This tv show stared Marlo Thomas as Ann Marie, and Ted Bessell as her boyfriend Donald Hollinger. Ann Marie is a independent gal, who moves from her parents home to New York to try to become a actress. The show started in 1966, and ran ’till 1971. The first 3 seasons are out on dvd. The 1st season is my favorite!

The Big Street
This movie stars Lucille Ball and Hendrey Fonda with Agnes Moorhead. After Gloria (Ball) is pushed down the stairs and paralized, a shy busboy at the nighclub she worked at, falls in love with her. He tries to help her walk again. This wasn’t the best movie I’ve ever seen! Lucille Ball was really good in it though. I give it a C.

The Day the Earth Stood Still
This movies stars Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, and Hugh Marlowe. When a spaceship lands in Washington D.C, it causes quite a stir! The alien refuses to reveal his mission to any one government! What will they do? I really like this movie!! I give it a A!

The Snake Pit
This movie stars Olivia de Havilland with Mark Stevens, Leo Genn, and Celeste Holm. Virginia Cunningham (de Havilland) is a girl who is married, has a nice home, and is a talented writer. But something is wrong. She starts being confused and even violent. She is confined in a mental instutution. She has to go through many hard things there. This is a very good movie, and de Havilland did a great job in it! I give it a A-!
