Tyrone Power Jr. is my favorite male actor of the 1940’s! He was born in Ohio in 1914. He made over 50 movies! His family had been in acting, his father was in many plays and some silent movies. Some of his best movies were, “The Black Swan”, “The Eddy Duchin Story”, “Black Rose”, and “Nightmare Alley”. He died at the age of 44 from a heart attack. He was in the middle of making the movie “Solomon and Sheba”, so they had to remake the movie with a different movie. His movies are a must see! Great tribute. Join the message board at http://www.tyrone-power.com if you can. It’s a blast.

My favorite performances of his are: The Mark of Zorro, Razor’s Edge, Nightmare Alley, Blood & Sand, This Above All, Witness for the Prosecution, Eddy Duchin Story, Long Gray Line, The Rains Came

Eye candy films (i.e., to die for gorgeous): Jesse James, The Rains Came, In Old Chicago, Alexander’s Ragtime Band, Marie Antoinette, Cafe Metropole, Love is News, Suez. Recently saw Suez and King of the Khyber Rifles on the big screen in LA – fantastic and he looked incredible. Hoping to see Cafe Metropole this year at Cinecon.
